OC Reg is citing the same source as the other three threads in the Selanne forum.

He's coming back, we all know he can't retire when he leads the team in points.

Is it wrong to speculate that there's a reason Selanne hasn't announced anything yet?

I might be wrong, but didn't he make his announcement in mid-September last year? He always says he'll let Murray know by July 1st, but maybe Murray knows and isn't announcing it yet?

"Kings could make a pitch to Selanne if Doan goes elsewhere"... (E3)
-This from a source in Anaheim.

I've been wondering where the hilarious Teemu rumors have been.

When's the last time Teemu signed July 1st? Nothing new here.

The longer we wait, the more I like his chances of returning. If he wanted to retire, he would have said so by now.

He said he would tell Murray By July 1st. We won't be told until they nail down the contract. I think I read somewhere that Murray was meeting with Teemu this week. Sounds like everything is on time if you ask me.

I thought Teemu was going to announce something BY July 1, well, it is now July 9th.

I know we have time, but it would be nice if something was announced.

I think he's agreed to play another season, the terms just have not been hammered out.

I can report a bit more from a Finnish newspaper:

source: http://www.iltasanom...8482378592.html (in Finnish)

He says he's been following what the Ducks have done and likes Anaheim's Defense situation. He also says quite clearly that Lubo was traded to make room for Sami Vatanen.

He also indicated in another interview that he has made his decision, it's just not official yet. (indicating that he indeed will be back.)

Also think the Ducks center situation is decent as long as they play as they should.

He knows nothing about Bobby Ryan.
