Trouble on the horizon for RC?

Samueli would never pay out the high salary for a guy like Quennville.  Budget ownership.

They haven't been a budget ownership for at least 3 years now.

5-0. Another shorty. Nothing on the PP. Unbelievable this topic is still going.

Do any of you guys watch Spanish soccer once in a while? When the fans are tired of their team they wave white handkerchiefs. Often when the white handkerchiefs come out you know it's not long before they fire their coach.

I'd love to see some fan action on Friday to show how fed up we are. We can all laugh with the kings because they're perhaps the only team worse than us but at least they've fired their coach (although that's questionable because the team just isn't very good) and made a trade (again questionable although salarywise it's not a bad move). But it's something.

I totally agree.  The fact this post has lasted this long underscores the unwillingness for BM to do anything.  Things don't change until things change.  That is a universal rule of law.

I love the idea of white flags and paper bags...

Or better yet, just stop attending.  Nothing speaks louder than the loss of revenue.

At least the kings are trying to do something.  Can we just jettison Gibbons, Ritchie and Street.  Bring the kids up and turn them loose.  That would be much more entertaining.

Team should have left him at the curb outside T-Mobile Arena.

They should have taken a postgame outing to a casino and then have Getzlaf subtly let the pit boss know Randy is counting cards.  The problem takes care of itself at that point.

I'm thinking that it will be a THANKSGIVING massacre - ( if they have another game like the LVK's game. ) IMHO

Pitchforks and torches on standby. Carlyle doesn't like fire, right?

He's not going anywhere. Murray will come up with excuses such as the Perry, Eaves and Fowler injuries. He will say that RC didn't have a complete team to start the season and the new faces were not experienced enough to play the "new" fast system. He will say the cap situation is preventing him from making a deal to bring in players that will help Carlyle. He's going to throw the full blame on the players for not being inspired to play.

I was thinking tar and feathers for Carlyle, the coaching staff and Murray.

I don't think anything that anyone says will change anything.  BM can't or won't replace the coach.  Whoever said he will place the blame on the injuries and the lack of effort by the players says it all.  He is just not a good GM.  An effective leader analyzes the situation and comes up with ideas.  Not this guy.

Oh and if anyone THINKS that the game tomorrow night will be close?  Forget that.  They can't beat the leafs in a normal situation - look at their record - even when they were the laughing stock of the eastern conference and the league, the ducks couldn't beat them.  Tomorrow will be the majors and the minors on display.  I wonder if there are some obscure NHL mercy rules...  they're coming.

Babcock and his staff are the real deal.

RC and company?  Outclassed, outmanned and out thought.  In every aspect of the game.  Again...

The team showed up against nashville. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up against Toronto. The leafs have played the sharks and are probably starting their back-up. If Gibson goes full Gibson or if it's Miller time we can beat them. That's how we got the majority of our points.

Don't think less of me for saying this but maybe it would be better for this team to get another whooping. Maybe that'll make BM move.

Is Carlyle still the coach?  Yes?  We're going to lose by 10.

I doubt I'm even going to watch the game. I'm so indifferent this year. I expect another lethargic performance.

I don't care if we're a mediocre team that is on the playoff bubble most of the year, record-wise.  I can handle that if the team plays like it did against Nashville on Monday.  But they've played like that twice all season.  Maybe three times if you count Detroit, although Detroit's so bad it's hard to tell.

But the "one game on, six games off" routine doesn't work for me.  They're disinterested, discombobulated, disorganized, and the hockey they play as a result is disgusting.

You should watch! The leafs are a FUN team. I'd watch every game of theirs if I could haha even without Matthews/Nylander.

So I rewatched that amazing save by Gibson on Johansson in that preds game...the one in OT. And I'm just looking at that defensive position...and I'm thinking...what is Lindholm doing on the OUTSIDE of Johansson? Shouldn't Lindholm be fighting to be between the predator and Gibson? Not behind the predator? I mean correct me if I'm wrong...is that a coach thing? Or is that a player thing? Is there a pro/con to being on the outside?

Well... we're missing a cam in the machine tonight.  I kinda think their performance against LV was part emotional trauma about Cam's situation.  They've had time to get past that by now, but... they still don't have Cam, and they won't for months.  They could be really, really easy to break mentally tonight.

It might be the coach thing depends how aggressive he wants them to be . When it is 5 on 3 D keeps keep the bottom of the triangle and also have to stay in the shooting lanes of the offenders around the outside, the forward stops the across ice d to d pass.Gibby had to come up big and didn't allow the rebounds as the Dmen are outnumbered he was brilliant in OT and deserved the praise.

Once the Leafs score the opening goal I think the team will fold.

I think Linholm is trying to do too much..and it is effecting his overall focus.

Yeah. That’s prob why I’ll watch cause the Leafs look like a fun team to watch. Sure the Ducks will prob lose but at least I could watch a good team (Leafs) play. And no, if the Ducks do win only because of Gibson or Miller that doesn’t change the fact that they’re a bad team and no fun to watch, sure there will be a goalie show but everything else is just undesirable

The only REAL explanation for this type of play is that, in my mind, RC has lost the locker room and we don't have any powerful leaders to get it back

I'd watch for the goalie show, too actually. it is sad and heart breaking to see him hung out to dry so often...but...it is also amazing.
